A disaffected young man murders a taxi driver and is put on trial by the state. Though defended by an idealistic lawyer, he is finally sentenced to death by hanging for his crime. Disturbing, thought provoking and graphically filmed in harrowing detail, A Short Film About Killing won numerous awards including the Jury Prize at the 1988 Cannes Film Festival.
