Description

Rebecca Ryan (Claire Goose) has been working undercover for the Organised Crime Division (OCD), posing as a taxi driver while investigating London’s (most notorious gangsters, the South Side Mob). When she finds that her own young daughter has been brutally murdered she fears that her cover may have been blown.

As Rebecca trawls the seedy depths of London’s underworld, hunting down her daughter’s killers, the lines between good and evil, right and wrong begin to blur, as do her notions of justice and revenge. She embarks on a brutally bloody campaign of vengeance against the gang she believes is responsible. As the fragile bonds that hold the gang together begin to unravel, death pervades. No one is safe, including the elusive and mysterious mistress, Jade (Sarah Harding).

As a trail of blood begins to flow from Rebecca’s quest for justice, it’s left up to the world-weary OCD agent Darius Cruise (Anthony Ofoegbu) to bring her in. He and his newly assigned, hot tempered partner Abby Barrett (Donna Air) must do what no cop likes to do – to go after one of their own and, if necessary, take her down.

It's a little movie but this film works

This is a great little movie. This kind of cop film has been done several times in the past, mostly 70s US films but to attempt to set it in England with an English spin on it was genus. It's true that Ian David Diaz and the writers created their own kind of cop movie mythology, since this movie is different in many ways to US 70s cop films. But the truth is Diaz takes an old story and puts a new well paced spin on it.

The fight sequences are fast, brutal and believable, Claire Goose, Donna Air and cast are well placed and the only fault I can see is the horrible back projection car scenes, but after watching the making of the film we we're told it was deliberate - a homage to the 60s & 70s cop films.

I can't say enough good things about this movie. Ian David Diaz, thanks, you did a great job.
