In the New Mexico desert in 1947, an object falls from the sky and crashes on a remote ranch. Reports detailing the mysterious event soon begin to appear in newspapers across the country as a possible UFO crash but are quickly denounced by the US government. Years later, two six-year-old children are found wandering around in the desert outside Roswell. A third child is later discovered by the authorities and endures an unhappy childhood in various foster homes around the area.
