Description

Set amid the racial tensions and economic hardships of Southern Texas in the 1980s, Selena is the story of a girl from the Tejana Mexican immigrant community who defied the odds to top the US charts. When her father Abraham (Edward James Olmos) who is himself a failed doo-wop singer, notices a talent for singing in his 10 year old daughter, he forms a musical act with Selena (Jennifer Lopez) as the star.
