EA gives the Wii fitness craze its own spin with this exercise title with over 25 activities to work through from the comfort of a player’s home.
With an outslaught of fitness and training titles now on the market for Nintendo Wii, EA has made a few interesting additions to the formula to stand out from the crowd. Most notably, players don’t need to purchase any additional peripherals to work out with EA Sports Active – the Wii Remote and Nunchuk attachment are all that are needed to play, with the Wii Balance Board also supported for certain activities. Two players can use a split-screen mode to train alongside one another or compete in races and other training regimes.
Using EA Sports Active’s virtual trainer, players are guided and motivated during each session to help reach their fitness goals. Clear instructions, subtle feedback and valuable tips are handed out in each activity. As well as more traditional challenges, players can try dancing, inline skating, tennis and volleyball. Each exercise targets a different region of a player’s body to keep each workout varied.
With a number of choice additions to typical fitness titles, EA Sports Active lets players work at their own pace to reach their targeted fitness goals.
