The world of Spore leaves the confines of the PC in this adventure title where players can create their own unique hero.From the creators of the all-conquering Sims series, Spore was one of the most ambitious simulations yet to grace gaming, allowing players to move from a single-celled organism to a high-tech alien race in one fell swoop. With Wii’s Spore - Hero, this concept has been tightened down to a singular storyline, as players crash land on an alien world and must work to prevent the spread of an evil force consuming the planet. One of Spores key features was its robust creature creation tools, which also make their way into Spore - Hero with the use of the Wii Remote. With over 250 parts on offer, players are able to create their own weird and wonderful alien creations.
With less of a focus on evolving each alien race, further emphasis has been put upon Spore - Hero’s mission structure. Players can work through story-based missions, large-scale battles with other races and action sequences. Competitive and co-operative mini-games are also on offer for two players to try.
Spore - Hero scales back the ambitious nature of the original Spore in favour of a more story-based adventure with the same in-depth creation tools.
