Description

incarnation with the highly strung butler Mr Pritchard, cook Mrs Thackeray,
chauffeur Harry Spargo and a vivacious and spirited young team.
Soon both the elegant upstairs world and the downstairs staff have built their
own labyrinth of secrets, lies and scandal, and as they feel the tremors of
royal and political upheaval and the ominous threat of war, the house
reverberates to the familiar sounds of rumour, excitement and dread…

Excellent
I am a big fan of the original 'Upstairs Downstairs' and thought that a remake would be disastrous. So what a shock! The new show was really good and once getting your head round the fact that there was no longer a Mrs Bridges or Mr Hudson etc the character's became as loveable as those before. All in all this was an excellent show with fantastic sets and a good story. My only criticism is, three episodes are not enough and i am praying that the BBC will commission a new series :-) Excellent!
