Description
The Resistance series makes its portable debut in this third-person action title based after the events of the original Resistance.
With Resistance – Fall of Man, the PlayStation 3 was given its first top quality shooter, a trend that continued with its successor Resistance 2. In this PSP addition to the series, players take the role of former British Marine James Grayson in a storyline the bridges the gap between the first two Resistance titles. After learning the attacking Chimera have developed a new way of converting humans to their cause, Grayson joins the European resistance in their next strike against the enemy.
Although now on a far less powerful system, Resistance – Retribution loses none of the gritty action of the originals, with some of the most impressive visuals seen yet on Sony’s handheld. Now playing in third-person, a newly developed targeting system allows players to swiftly lock onto opponents and move about the 3D stages. Enemies from both Resistance titles appear in this release, including Hybrids, Leapers and the Titan.
Resistance – Retribution successfully scales down the size and scope of the console titles with little compromise, giving players the same polished action, now in third-person.
