The original Silent Hill is one of survival horror’s pioneers, providing a more cerebral and atmospheric feel than the more action orientated Resident Evil series. Silent Hill – Shattered Memories takes these core concepts and reimagines the classic title. Rather than simply remake Silent Hill with updated visuals, Shattered Memories takes an arguably more rewarding route and adds brand new gameplay elements to the original storyline. Playing as Harry Mason, players must search through the eerie and deserted town of Silent Hill to find missing daughter Cheryl, dealing with the twisted creations trying to stop them.

In a brave move for the series, Shattered Memories removes any form of combat from the game, instead placing focus on avoiding danger and escaping conflicts. Without the protection of weaponry, the game is given an even more tense and dramatic atmosphere. Before the game begins, players will be asked a series of questions that will help shape gameplay and ensure the scares stay fresh.
