Description
Pixar’s CGI summer blockbuster makes the leap to consoles and handhelds in this video game adaptation of the family film Up.
In recent years, few family films have managed to match the popularity of those Pixar Studios produces. The makers of Toy Story and WALL.E have returned with their next masterpiece, Up, which has been given its own video game adaptation following the events of the film itself. As Carl Fredrickson sets off to explore the far reaches of the South American jungle, he finds an uninvited guest has stowed away on his floating home in the form of Russell, a young explorer ready for adventure.
As well as Carl and Russell, Dug the Dog and Kevin the prehistoric bird are on hand during single player, which can be played through solo or co-operatively with another friend. The bright colours of the South American jungle have been recreated in each of Up’s levels, as players work their way through dangerous terrains and fight against its indigenous creatures. Multiplayer allows players to compete against one another in aerial combat.
Up successfully recreates the charm and style of the classic Pixar film, with the whole cast along for the ride.
