DVD.CO.UK require a Customer Services Assistant to join our team handling customer enquiries about orders placed on our internet ecommerce site.

The role involves answering inquiries by phone and by email so good verbal communication skills and excellent written communication is essential. You will also be involved in the day to day administration for the call centre including the processing of customer returns.

Previous experience in a customer service or call centre environment is preferable but not necessary if you have a great ability to communicate and a desire to resolve peoples problems. You should apply by email with a copy of your CV to eddie@dvd.co.uk.

Programmer / Developer (ASP.net / SQL) for Internet Ecommerce Web Development

DVD.CO.UK are looking for experienced programmers to join our expanding technical development team.

For this role the main duties and responsibilities will include

• Development of web based solutions in ASP.net 2/3.0 & SQL
• SQL database access, query development, stored procedure development
• System architecture and database design
• System analysis and Functional specification
• Solution testing and release across development and live environments

Our main selection criteria for this role is programming skill and technical ability. Extensive programming experience (especially working as part of a team) is crucial.

The ideal candidate will have

• 5 years experience working in software development
• 2 or more specifically working with ASP/ASP.net and SQL
• Experience of e-commerce development and design
• Good knowledge of e-commerce site requirements

You will be joining a small but experienced team of developers that manage the development of a group of sites that cover e-commerce, price comparison, edi style data exchange, credit card processing and user product listings and sales.

You should be self motivated and be able to work well in a team of like minded professionals. Strong communication skills are essential as you will be required to understand the companies high level requirements to produce functional specifications. You will then work individually and with the rest of the development team to create and implement the solutions.

Dvd.co.uk are looking for an experienced consumer electronics buyer to join our expanding purchasing team.

For this role the main duties and responsibilities will be

• Monitoring sales and forecasting purchase quantities
• Negotiating prices with suppliers
• Ordering goods from suppliers
• Maintaining and expanding our Electronics/Hardware/PC catalogue
• The set-up of product promotions and campaigns
• Ensuring the supply chain from the point of order with the supplier to arrival at our warehouse runs smoothly

The ideal candidate will have

• 2+ years experience in a buying role
• Keen knowlege of and interest in consumer electronics
• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Good understanding of key PC applications (Excel, Word etc)
• Knowledge of the eCommerce world

You will be joining a small but experienced team of buyers that manage our online catalogue on various selling platforms including the dvd.co.uk web site, Amazon Marketplace and eBay.

You should be self motivated and work well in a team of like minded professionals. Strong communication skills are essential as you will be expected to spend part of your day talking to and developing relationships with suppliers.
